Position: IT Infrastructure Recovery Specialist  
Reports to: Head of IT Systems Department
Location: Tirana

Purpose of the position:

Ensure the protection, availability and recoverability of the Bank’s critical data and systems by administering backup, replication and disaster recovery processes in line with business continuity objectives and information security policies.

Main Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain backup and recovery platforms, like Veeam, Veritas Backup Exec, Zerto or other similar.
• Administer and optimize replication between the primary data centre and the Disaster Recovery Site.
• Monitor backup and replication jobs daily; investigate and promptly resolve failures.
• Verify adherence to RPO and RTO targets and implement the 3-2-1 backup strategy, including isolated or immutable copies where applicable.
• Plan and perform periodic restore tests to verify data integrity and recoverability.
• Technically prepare and coordinate at least one annual Disaster Recovery/BCP test in cooperation with the responsible business functions.
• Maintain procedures, configurations, evidence and reports of tests and incidents.
• Provide technical evidence and support for audits, controls and Information Security requirements.

Formal criteria:

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in enterprise backup and recovery administration.
• Experience with technologies like Veeam, Veritas Backup Exec, Zerto or other similar.
• Knowledge of VMware/Hyper-V, storage, networking and RPO/RTO concepts; relevant certifications are an advantage.

Required skills/competences:

• Strong analytical, incident response and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and disciplined documentation and reporting.
• Ability to organize DR tests and collaborate across teams.
• Good technical English and communication skills.
